This picture was taken today, the first time I saw Totem after my brother's death.
He could easily tell I was still grieving and he desperately wanted to help.
My sweet baby. He has such a healing spirit: he heals my broken heart.

Aw what a baby. I adore coyotes so much, I just love looking at them and hearing them <3
Sorry for your loss. I know my dogs have always been so good at making me feel better, looks like Totem does just as good of a job with you! :)

Thank you! And you should. It's an amazing experience. There are several places around the country that have coyote encounters. One in colorado I hear is amazing, but I'm on the other side of the country so I haven't looked into it much.

That is just incredible...
It's so cool that you have a bond with this Coyote. Something that I wish that I had a chance to do.
So sorry to hear about your loss...

Thank you.

Yes, I am appreciative of every moment I get to spend with him. I've been there since he was about 10 days old, and the rest was history. I just adore him. I've been told that it is a bad idea to trust him so fully, but he has never more than mouthed me as a puppy. He's as gentle with me as my collie dog, so I trust him and he reciprocates it with the bond that we have now. Now that something tragic has happened in my life, I appreciate him even more, as I'm not a people person, and I turned to him for healing, rather than people.

You are welcome.

That's quite a history you have with Totem. It's an extraordinary bond that I've only ever seen a few times. I hope to form one with my totem animal sometime, but it seems so rare. But I guess anything is possible.

I can somewhat relate to your methods, there. I truly never went (or go) to people for any of my problems. I'm stuck with meditation, art, music, and writing as potential vents.

I can't help but find this just incredible.

Animals have been known to heal people, I saw a documentary about 9/11 and a dog healed a little girl who was having trouble healing after the attack, animals are accually better to heal with since they will stay with there owner/friend and not tell a soul on any secrets that they are told. Animals have better senses then people even a pet cat or dog can tell if someones hurting. Wild animal or pet if you've been kind and caring for years for them they will give it back to you. Wild animals are accually harmless as long as people keep their distance, don't bother them and they won't bother you, most people keep forgetting. The closest I've been to a wild animal not touching is a Moose and one deer of a group accually came towards me while I was taking her picture close enough I could have touched her. Having a bond with an wild animals is rare your very lucky. Sorry for the loss of your sibling and sorry if I over did it on my comment.
